Mae Mackenzie

Mae Mackenzie (b.1999 London, England) is a photographer based in Glasgow. Her practice involves book making and darkroom printing, particularly on a large scale as well as alternative printing processes. Mackenzie’s work conveys themes of memory, the fragility of time, change and the marks we leave behind. In a world where everything is constantly changing she captures those scenes that are remnants of the past, something she has continuously explored throughout her artistic practice. Her work also incorporates curational aspects through being a joint curator of the project ‘OFF GRID’, a biannual exhibition that took place in abandoned spaces around Glasgow. Whilst also being the creator of ‘RANDOM ACCESS’ zine, which was a group biannual publication.
